The Lakes and Trails Festival is a community celebration of our many natural and historical assets. It brings people together around the active outdoor lifestyle and sense of community that many of us value.

The first Lakes and Trails festival was held in 2017.  Hundreds of people, both from South Frontenac and from around the province have participated.

The event is organized by South Frontenac Rides, the Sydenham Canoe Club and a broad group of Sydenham’s residents. Family oriented walking, biking and paddling opportunities will be the focus of the event. The fourth annual Festival will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Point Park in Sydenham, South Frontenac.

We would love you to come and participate. Or just come for the food, conversation and the Point Park. Also, The Point has a public beach,

Featured activities include: a bike around the lake; a cycle skills course; canoeing on the lake; a walking tour of historic Sydenham Village; and a community lunch. Frontenac Outfitters brings all the best and new boats to try on the lake, the Sydenham walking group will be leading a hike on the Cataraqui trail and there will be live music for adults and children.

All activities are free, donations are welcome.

You can also help the event by volunteering or donating. Send us a message on the contact form to volunteer or donate. Your donation will help us advertise the event, provide high quality activities, and ensure maximum community participation by keeping the event free and accessible to all members of our community. Your donation would be tax deductible with a cheque to South Frontenac Township, attn: Lake and Trails Festival.

We look forward to seeing you on July 18.
